Seirina is known for bringing back the performing and music styles from the late Showa era. While also having fans from the younger generation, her fans are dominated by older people. Her artistry is marked by noticeably varied themes and emotional honesty, especially in her song lyrics. She also has the ability to mix femininity, melancholy, and strength in her performance. She is a solo singer under an all-female entertainment industry, FIRST NATION.

APPEARANCESeirina is a young woman with average height and light grey eyes. Her emerald hair is voluminous and a bit messy, cut similarly to the Japanese late Showa-era female haircut with somewhat loose curls. On stage, Seirina uses her on-stage outfit, a sleeveless glittery blue bodycon dress adorned with red transparent flounces on its lower part. As her outer, she wrapped a floral blue shawl around her upper arms with her shoulders revealed. The shawl has a pattern of yellow canola flowers and red semi-circle laces. The wrapped shawl is fastened by a belt of the same color as her bracelet. The belt is adorned by red-yellow tulle fabric crafted into the shape of a flower and a flowy red patterned scarf with gold lace at the end of it. As accessories, there are a pair of golden dangle earrings and a dark blue choker around her neck. She also wears fingerless, lacy blue gloves with a gold bracelet on her left wrist. Additionally, she puts on a black transparent stocking paired with a pair of red heels. On warmer days, Seirina puts on a waist-length dark pink cardigan with a black tank top inside, paired with a pair of jeans on the bottom. For her accessories, she wears a cross necklace and a blue bracelet on her left wrist. On colder days, Seirina wears a wine red knitted sweater with a knitted blue cardigan on the outside. At the bottom, she wears a black plaid long skirt paired with a pair of white boots..PERSONALITY
Seirina is initially presented as an introverted, calm, and reserved young woman. Despite not talking that much, she is able to articulate her thoughts and feelings when she needs to or when she feels secure enough to do it. However, when it comes to her duties as an idol or a university student, she will go out of her comfort zone to be professional and turn confident, making a gap in her demeanor. For example, she often doubts about greeting someone she knows, but can be talkative when interacting with her fans.
Seirina is also markable for her religious side. Like Tatsumi, she is a Christian. She never skips reading the Holy Bible, no matter how busy she is, and does her best to follow what is written there. She refuses to do any idol job on Sunday mornings for the sake of attending church. If Tatsumi can sense an evil presence, then Seirina is sensitive toward unholiness in worldly things. This can be seen when she once stated that she smells nothing but "sins" when she listens to a few of Eden's songs, while admitting that they have nice arrangements. However, she admits that she still has unholy thoughts and deeds until this time and is just as sinful as other people are. She also honestly said that she is still struggling to live in holiness and, due to this, is more understanding of those considered “sinners”.When Seirina was younger, though, especially in the beginning of her senior high school days, she used to rebel against those religious teachings and her religious parents. While this was caused by her desire to find her own freedom, a part of the reason was wanting to be accepted by the friends in her previous high school. She wasn’t loud about it with words, but she showed her rebellion through her actions. She was silently following a few bad acts done by her delinquent friends in the public school in her first year's first semester, e.g., using foul language, ignoring her homework, and treating her teachers impudently. She did this, most likely because she also no longer wanted to experience being excluded by her surroundings. She also dated Keito after she transferred to Kimisaki, even though interfaith relationships aren't encouraged in Christianity. Additionally, she also joined the audition held by the FIRST NATION agency without telling her parents about it. This is caused by her seeking freedom after living in rigidity for years. However, starting from her second year in Kimisaki, she has now repented and become someone more obedient and devoted to her beliefs.Once close enough, Seirina’s kindness and vulnerability will be seen. She is known for being a good listener and her level of understanding of someone’s reason and background for doing something. Sometimes, it does not even matter if it actually goes against her morals or not, if that person explains their reason well enough—meaning that she can be naive or pretending to be one most of the time for the sake of being understanding. This also explains that she is a sensitive person and is easily touched on the heart. She is a melancholic person who feels and thinks about things deeply. While this side of hers is an advantage to her artistry as an idol, it could’ve troubled her if she were to connect with people. Her deep feelings often drive her to wish for “deep” relationships and friendships as well, making her attached to people she has chosen to confide in, even expecting more from them. This also makes Seirina hate her feelings and sometimes hopes she were born a robot instead of a human. These vulnerabilities and emotional sides peaked in her first year, but Seirina has started to learn how to hold them back once she debuted as an idol in her third year, especially after she graduated from high school. One of the reasons this happened is not only because she wanted to be professional and build a strong or confident image, but also because of the heartbreak caused by what happened between her and Keito1. However, no matter how much she tries to hide it, she still craves emotionally deep connections with other people to this day, and at certain times, she will fail to hide her strong emotions. It is due to her fear of losing the people she has grown attached to that she often tries to avoid relationships, only to feel lonely again at the end of the day.Seirina has many layers, all of them connected to her past, trauma, and wishes. The cores of her personality include her calm and strong cover, her deep feelings and melancholic temperament, and her wish as well as fear to connect with people. This makes her somewhat of a complex woman..ETYMOLOGY• Her surname “渡辺 (Watanabe)” is one of the most common surnames in Japan that means “to cross over a river”. This surname comes from the surname of Onyanko Club’s members Minayo Watanabe (渡辺 美奈代) and Marina Watanabe (渡辺 満里奈). Onyanko Club was a large all-girl Japanese pop idol group in the 1980s.• As a whole, her given name means “a holy and advantageable nanohana flower”. The kanji “聖 (sei)” means ‘“holy,” which is related to her devotion to Christian holiness, meanwhile “利 (ri)” has meanings of “effective,” ‘interest,” “profit, ”and “advantage” which might as well related to her tendency of being an “advantage” to the other people around her by making their burdens easier. Lastly, the character “菜 (na)” means “vegetable”, “side dish”, “greens”, or "nanohana" which comes from the last kanji of Akina Nakamori’s given name (中森明菜). Akina Nakamori is known as a famous Japanese pop idol in the 1980s..TRIVIA• Seirina’s autograph consists of her given name mixed with its first kanji (聖) and the rest (RINA) rendered in cursive romaji. The “王” character strokes in the kanji “聖” is replaced with a tiny doodle of a crown. This replacement is related to the word ‘王’ for ‘king’. As for the “RINA” part, the “RI” is put on top, and the “NA” is at the bottom.• One of her favorite dairy products aside from yoghurt, caramel milk pudding, is something she had eaten in her dream but didn’t know the name back then.• Her singing with her guitar accompaniment is believed to be able to send people to sleep.• She is a fan of Seiya Hidaka and has been admiring him since she was 14, even saying that he is her first love and ideal type due to his love for his wife. She also uses his photo as her phone's lock screen.• Seiya was her reason to be an idol. She once said that if she were to meet him in person, she wouldn't want to meet him as a mere fan, but as a fellow idol. Additionally, this mindset exists because of her desire to be someone worthy enough for someone she loves.• Despite being Seiya's fan, she had never gone to any of his live performances or handshake events yet and only watched him from behind the screen. She said that since she lived in her parents' house under their strictness, she could never easily attend such events.• She admires AKATSUKI. According to her, AKATSUKI is the manliest unit in ES–in Japan, even.• She has a big appetite and isn’t picky with food. However, she routinely exercises every week to maintain her shape, especially when she is not busy.• Additional to the prior fact, coffee is an exception as she dislikes its bitter taste.• She likes the animal elephants for their kind eyes and kind personality.• She is bad at sports and actually has terrible stamina, but now, when it comes to exercising to stay in shape, she will try her best to break her limit and manage.• She believes that foods cry when they are not finished. Thus, she dislikes wasting food.• She likes being in a room with very minimal lighting.

HISTORYEARLY YEARSSeirina was born into a Christian family, and both of her parents devoted themselves to the church and held important roles there. Her family is strict with holiness and integrity as Christians, which then affects her judgments on life and herself. Following her parents' path, she started dedicating herself to church service as well when she became a teenager. However, she has never wanted to be a pastor like her parents, and instead, has always wanted to be a singer.Seirina spent her elementary and junior high school days in decent and strict private academies because her parents perceived that they were good at building their students' characters. While her parents were right, she apparently got bullied due to her "unconventional" visual, especially her hair. She was also ostracized due to being perceived as "weird" because she often spoke about her faith in God. After spending her elementary and junior high school days in the private academies, though, Seirina had her time enrolling in a conservative public high school since she didn't want to burden her parents with high tuition fees anymore. The academy's conservativeness includes still sticking to the gakuran/tsume-eri and sailor fuku when the majority of high schools in Japan had moved on from those kinds of uniforms. However, the school also turned out to be mainly dominated by male students and was known for its frequent involvement in street fights. Even though Seirina has never had any serious cases of student brawls or delinquency, the school's harsh environment subconsciously built her familiarity with old-fashioned cultures of delinquency, which is, of course, contradictory to her Christian values. However, Seirina's parents perceived that their daughter's rebellious traits got worse since she entered the public school. Not so long afterward, she then transferred to Kimisaki Private Academy in the second term of her first year and spent the rest of her senior high school days in a girls' private school. This was also when she met Anzu and a few new friends from Kimisaki. She also met new friends with those from Yumenosaki, all began from her meeting with Kuro at first. She also met Keito then developed their friendship into a romantic relationship with each other since then. Unfortunately, once the Yumenosaki Academy got busier in their third year and due to other reasons, they broke up with each other and parted ways.A month after healing herself from breaking up with Keito, Seirina then registered herself to join the scout in a rookie agency, FIRST NATION. She easily passed the audition due to her potential and uniqueness. The only thing was that she didn't ask for permission from her parents and thus, some arguments happened between her and her parents. After the arguments, Seirina's parents then yielded to her and let her debut as an idol. On the other hand, they obligated their daughter to still enter the college because being an idol was considered an unstable job. Seirina then started her debut as Showa-esque solo female idol under the FIRST NATION agency. This is also caused by how her visual type is perceived will be more popular if she were born in the Japanese bubble economy era (in other words, she actually doesn't fit the nowadays female idols' beauty standards). Long story short, Seirina graduated from Kimisaki and focused on building her career path as an idol for a year while also attending the university.CURRENT YEAR (ENSTARS!! ERA)Seirina got more and more jobs as an idol along with her hectic schedule as a college student. This is also where she met again with Anzu, who was also her friend back at Kimisaki. She also met with Tatsumi, her fellow Christian idol.

Overview
Seirina grew up with her parents and two younger brothers. All her family members are Christian and involved in church service. Just like Tatsumi, her family is one of the descendants of the Kakure Kirishitan. Unlike Tatsumi's family, her ancestors rejoined the Catholic church before they transformed into Protestantism.
Grandmother
• She is described as a grandmother who gives equal attention to her grandchildren.
• She occasionally visits Seirina's family and brings food or snacks for them.
• When Seirina's parents opposed her admiration for idols when she was still in middle school, her grandmother instead wanted to understand her granddaughter's perspectives and tried listening to her.
Parents
Her parents are the ones who introduced her to music. They also hold important roles in the church Seirina attends.
Mother
• She is the one who taught Seirina how to sing.
• While being a pastor, she is also a lecturer at a theology school. This theology school was founded and used to be led by one of the students who used to attend the mission school that was already renovated into Reimei Academy. The founder himself has already passed away some years ago.
• Seirina described Keito's personality as similar to her mother's, specifically in the lecturing habit. However, her mother is way more conservative and rigid than him.
• Due to the “unholiness” in the entertainment industry, she initially didn’t support Seirina’s decision to be an idol.
Father
• He is good at playing musical instruments. He is also the one who taught Seirina how to play guitar.
• Compared to his wife, he has more of a laid-back personality.
• Worried about Seirina's safety, he also initially didn’t support her decision to be an idol.

Seirina first met Anzu at Kimisaki. At that time, Seirina had just transferred from her previous school and was in the second term of her first year—in other words, in the same year as Anzu. While they weren't so close, Seirina had had a few talks with Anzu ever since they bumped into each other in the restroom. Anzu was the one who greeted Seirina first. Anzu then told Seirina that she was a bit intimidated by the other girl because of her aloof demeanor and the rumor about her transferring from a school full of delinquents. Seirina sighed and reassured Anzu that even though she often used harsh language like delinquents do, she wouldn't randomly pick fights with anyone. If anything, Seirina was terrible at brawling and was actually a strong believer in God.
Not long after that, the rebellion campaign in Kimisaki, which was led by Anzu and her close friends, started. Seirina didn't pick a side that time because she refused to involve herself in problems as a new student, and knew that neither the rebels nor the school system was more correct than the other. Thus, she only decided to observe from afar, even when Anzu and her friends were bullied because of their rebellion. Of course, she felt the urge at that time to help them, especially because she remembered how it felt to be bullied when she was younger. However, she had settled to not intervene in anyone's business and to prevent getting into any trouble. In her second year, Seirina realized that she didn't see Anzu around the academy anymore. That was when she knew Anzu had transferred to another school. Seirina felt guilty for not standing up for the younger girl and then promised that if she met Anzu once again, she would hug her and apologize to her.In the second year of ES!!, Seirina finally encountered Anzu again at a cafe in the city. After a few talks, Seirina then asked Anzu's permission to hug her and apologized to her for not helping when she knew that Anzu was being bullied back at Kimisaki. Anzu told Seirina that she didn't have to apologize because she didn't do anything wrong, and reassured her. Aside from reminiscing about some parts of their past in the private academy, Anzu also teased Seirina for still being a fan of Seiya after taking a peek at her phone's lock screen, proving that Anzu was still as mischievous as ever. They then exchanged contacts, looking forward to working together as an idol and a producer in the future.STARMAKER PRODUCTION

Aira had known Seirina as the "Showa-esque idol of the Reiwa era" due to his vast and updated knowledge about idols. He described her as the older sister type who bravely gives thoughtful responses. When Tatsumi was nervous about attending a religious program with her, Aira was the one who sent him some playlists of her short videos so that the older guy could get glimpses of what kind of person Seirina was.

Both Seirina and Tatsumi share the same faith as Christians despite the different denominations they come from. The two of them first met in the second year of ES!! through a web youth Christian program as guest stars to talk about their faith journey. They soon found out that they were both the descendants of Kakure Kirishitan as they talked to each other more. Due to the shared beliefs, the fans on the internet also adore their pairing.
Tatsumi once opened up to Seirina about his past mistake, how he could not forgive himself for it, and how stupid he was to hurt someone just for the sake of his ideal world at Reimei Academy. She disagreed with his system and thought it was somewhat astray, but the young woman told him that it was not his fault someone got hurt in the process of the "revolution" because it was out of his control. She also didn't think that Tatsumi's dream of the world as a place full of love and peace was dumb. She even thought that while Tatsumi was so kind, not all the "needy" people deserved his kindness and to be part of his ideal world. Since then, he could feel that it was refreshing seeing someone going against his mindset while also supporting his dream for the world to be a better place when most people came to him for solutions. It made him feel less lonely somehow.Tatsumi and Seirina then started getting close to each other, especially due to their shared beliefs and the amount of idol job where they spent working together. He admitted that he could never confide in anyone as much as he did to her--not only because she would understand his point of view due to their similar background, but also give him what he needed for his problems.COSMIC PRODUCTION

Both Seirina and Keito met for the first time when she came along with Kuro, visiting Keito's house to have a tutor with him. Keito treated her with strictness in the beginning, but Seirina endured it all because she grew up with her mother, whose character was similar to Keito's. One day, something happened to her that made her more vulnerable, and she finally couldn't handle his strictness as she had always done. She also confessed how she had realized that she didn't actually need a tutor, and she only kept coming for his tutoring sessions because she liked his company. She then told him she would stop visiting him for a tutor and ran away from the temple, only for Keito to eventually worry over her and end up chasing her.
Long story short, they spent more time together. Keito then told her something, implying how he was actually drawn to Seirina but was unsure of his feelings and had always hesitated to date her due to their differences, especially on Seirina's end, which was why he kept her merely as a "close" friend. However, Seirina convinced him that it was fine and that she would "guide" him on how to treat her as a girlfriend. He asked why Seirina wanted him to be her boyfriend even though she knew that her religious beliefs didn’t encourage interfaith romantic relationships. She told him that she saw him as the first proper man outside of her family who showed interest in her. She didn’t want to let go of him, saying that she might no longer meet a man so principled like him in the world nowadays. Driven by his growing affection for her, he also didn’t want to let go of her, the woman who supported what he envisioned for Yumenosaki that time, yet also challenged his everything at the same time. As their bond grew deeper, Seirina started to let go of her dream to be an idol, saying that it was already enough to see Keito shine with AKATSUKI, supporting him as an AKATSUKI fan and his girlfriend. This new side of hers, however, wasn't to Keito's liking.Once they got to the beginning of Keito's third year and Seirina's second year, things in Yumenosaki started getting busier, making Keito unable to juggle his duty and relationship at the same time. Additionally, he felt guilty for making Seirina sin by dating him and supporting his "dirty work" for the revolution in Yumenosaki. He also felt some kind of irritation because Seirina stopped trying to achieve her dream as an idol once she got into a relationship with him. However, he also knew that Seirina would stay with him no matter how many times he told her that he was not worthy of her love, that she should be better, and that their relationship was not worth maintaining due to their differences.Keito then had no decision but to make her hate him by telling hurtful things to her, such as how he actually hated her, didn't need her, and how she was an unpleasant, rebellious girl and actually a hypocrite. He also accused her of actually hoping he was better and silently luring him into her religion due to the gospel. What he said was never true, though, and he only did so to make her let go of him more easily. Still, Seirina was hurt and took his words as they were, even blaming herself because she was probably being "too much" with Keito and too demanding without her realising. And after it was too late, she finally realised she had grown attached to him. The pain of their breakup made her cry at first for days when it hit her the most at night, but she then managed to let him go one step at a time. No longer feeling the need to support him as his girlfriend and a mere AKATSUKI fan, she regained her purpose to be an idol and achieved it one month after the breakup.鬼龍 紅郎
Seirina and Kuro’s friendship formed for the first time on the train way home. Kuro interacted with her first by offering his seat to her since she was standing in the middle of the crowded carriage between grown men. He said that he didn't feel comfortable with the sight, especially after imagining what if his younger sister were in Seirina's position. Both of them then started talking to each other because Seirina was interested in Kuro's uniform pants' plaid motif, implying that he was a Yumenosaki student. After a few talks, they then bonded due to their familiarity with the world of old-fashioned delinquency, especially their economic statuses that were not so different from each other. He also often became the mediator between Keito and Seirina when the couple argued.
After Seirina broke up with Keito a year later, she met Kuro again on her train home because they lived in the same district. He then told her that there was no way Keito would just forget her so easily, despite how incompatible he was with Seirina. Trying to amuse her, Kuro joked a bit, saying he was ready to tell her how her ex was doing if she asked him to. However, she firmly refused the offer because she didn't think of it as a joke, and didn't want to look like someone who couldn't move on from her past. Seeing the upset Seirina, Kuro then offered to tell her how AKATSUKI is doing from time to time. He added that it was because even though Seirina was no longer Keito's girlfriend, she was still an AKATSUKI fan, and Kuro, as an idol, didn't want to disappoint her. She has had a good term with Kuro until now, even though they no longer contact each other that much.神崎 颯馬
When Kuro first introduced AKATSUKI to Seirina, Souma was the first member to catch her eye due to his appearance and personality. Later, Seirina and Souma’s friendship formed as a consequence of her relationship with Keito and friendship with Kuro, which also made her interact with the other AKATSUKI members. After the younger man knew that Seirina excelled in English, she sometimes helped him with the subject whenever they got to hang out at Keito’s house. Souma admitted that Seirina was good at teaching English because she could make him understand more about the grammar by comparing how the language works with how it would be in Japanese. They also once jokingly formed a duo called the "April Ponytail Combi (4月のぽにーてーるこんび)" due to their hairstyles at the time being both ponytails and their birth months being April.
Souma had never been told about Seirina breaking up with Keito, but he could already sense that something was off, especially since Keito was not acting like himself for around a week. He had never asked Keito or Kuro about it, knowing that the matter of the heart is a fragile topic for some. However, Souma once merely wondered where Seirina had gone and why she had never hung out with anyone in AKATSUKI anymore. It made Kuro decide to reveal what actually happened to her relationship with Keito to him, but also told him to promise never to mention Seirina's name around Keito.Reoccurring Characters
